Haworth Barn Reviews

A wonderful quirky barn with everything you could want for a great week in the Yorkshire Dales. Dog friendly, comfy beds, walks from the door so minimum use of the car. Shops 5 minutes drive for provisions and the Craven Heifer pub around the corner serving good food. Will look to book again and definitely recommend to friends and family.

Had a lovely time in the cottage with walking on the numerous footpath from just outside the house to relaxing in the comfortable chair and sofas in various rooms. Would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit Yorkshire moors.
Had a lovely break with family and friends 2 of which did 3 Peaks. My husband remembers this building as a barn when he was a child. Renovated in the 1970's it is still in a 70's time warp. Overall needs a bit of TLC but met our needs and is in a fabulous village. We would definitely stay again.
Enjoyed the stay thanks for the selection of walks and maps, family gathering all enjoyed the stay, well equipped kitchen for all catering except for wine glasses.

We were at Haworth Barn during the first very cold spell, the house is lovely and warm. Comfy beds. Somethings are a little tired, but didn't affect our stay. Very odd configuration quirkiness of a barn! Don't forget to take essentials with you there is no shop in the village.
Yvonne
Lovely warm barn. Very impressive dining area. Beds comfortable and bedding clean. Great views. Fantastic walking surroundings area. Dogs loved it.

The pictures don't do this accommodation justice It truly is a credit to its owners Spotlessly clean and totally well equipped, very spacious and everything you need is provided Will definitely be visiting here again Big thanks to the owner
Ideal spot for three peaks, local walks and facilities. The accommodation had character and stacks of room, and decent parking, all in all a brilliant time had by all.
Even just turning into Church Lane and seeing Haworth Barn in front of us, we knew we would love it. The Barn is spacious and bright with plenty of areas to relax. An excellent collection of visitors information, games and books are available on the landing. The lounge on the second floor delivers the most stunning views. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of space for your belongings. The upper bedroom has a particularly pretty view of the church. The kitchen provides just about everything required for food preparation and the large fridgefreezer is perfect, with the dishwasher and laundry equipment completing a full facility. Perfectly located for walkshikes from the property we hiked up Penyghent and walked to the surrounding falls direct from the doorstep and within a drive of so many fantastic locations this part of Yorkshire has to offer including Skipton Castle and woods and Ribblehead Viaduct circular. The enclosed garden is very pretty and a ideal spot to sit and just soak up the scenery. Haworth Barn is well worth a stay.

Beautiful house in a lovely village. Very spacious accommodation which was essential for a large family. The view from the window seat upstairs was stunning and a lovely place to sit and relax. We had everything we needed in the house but it would have been nice to have some comfy garden chairs or at least cushions for the wooden chairs. For us older people comfort is of great importance. Our granddaughter aged 11 is a very enthusiastic bird watcher and loved the variety of birds in the garden and the wider area. Thank you for letting us stay at your property.
Claire
Nice property. Very quiet. A nice relaxing stay.
We really enjoyed our stay however the 9. 30 am checkout is rather early. 10.30 would be much better and we wouldn't have had to set an alarm to make sure we could have breakfast before vacating the premises.
Georgina
The barn was perfect, love the layout and the views. The walk up to the waterfalls was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
This was an absolutely beautiful accommodation set in amazing surroundings. The pictures from the website didn't do justice to the cottage itself. Myself and my family loved every minute and will definitely be booking in the future.
We had a lovely break in this delightful quirky barn conversion. Stunning views and location. Thoroughly enjoyed by adults and children. If it is was bigger we'd definitely return with the husbands! 1010.
Louise
Lovely property in a beautiful location. Fantastic communication and information from the owner. We heard it had once been known as the party house so we tested it out. Three generations and our dog loved the quirky barn. Had everything we needed and a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed a walk into settle for a fantastic lunch a few birthday drinks, at the dog friendly Golden Lion.
Denise
This was our second stay at the Barn. Fantastic place to stay, everything you could want and more. Place was spotless. Lovely views over surrounding countryside. Two amazing waterfalls nearby. A cosy local pub is two minutes walk away. The owner is very kind and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend the Haworth Barn to everyone. Five starsPlus.

This is such a lovely property with everything you could possibly for a stay ... This is such a lovely property with everything you could possibly for a stay away, it's like a home away from home, beautiful views, couldn't of wished for a better place A credit to it's owners
Sandra
Haworth Barn is a lovely, quirky property, full of character and charm, well maintained, comfortable, very clean and spacious. Although there is masses of space in the living areas it is perhaps more suited to 6 people than 8 as there are only 3 bedrooms and one of these is quite small. I would like to suggest to the owner that a grab rail by the kitchen door would be helpful as the step down into the kitchen is quite steep if mobility is an issue, also that brighter lighting in the dark downstairs bedrooms would be helpful.
Very enjoyable stay and great scenery. .a little problem with bees and little leak but the owner was fantastic help and couldnt do much more.
Just reminiscing of what a fab time we had at this beautiful place . Looking at booking again next year .
We had a wonderful time in your lovely house me my wife, our youngest son who was running in the three peaks fell race and two of our granddaughter's ,also Bracken our border terrier, everything you could want in the house, really loved looking out of the picture window in the lounge at all the sheep and lamb's, and a bonus is the local pub that serves excellent food, only downside is no dogs allowed inside but ok in the garden weather permitting, went to the creamery at Hawes that was really lovely, So will definitely book again in the future, by ringing the owner direct. Regards Barry and Sue
A comfortable cottage with good facilities, everything expected was provided. As noted in the description there is some road noise but we did not find this too intrusive. The location shown on the Sykes map is wrong, look on Google maps for accurate location.
Had a wonderful 4 night stay here. The only thing that was not accurate was the incorrect location on the map by the main road. This however did not bother us, and we loved the galleried landing, cozy and spacious rooms and the great views. Would definitely recommend and very much hope to come again.
Robert
Great location for walks. Well stocked house with good room configuration and bedding
Your map shows the barn in wrong place. Would not have gone if the map had put the house on main Horton road non stop quarry lorries from 6am. I know area well and was hoping the map on your site was correct....some refund? House is fun and enjoyable. Large curtain in dining room was completely off rails so no privacy there or wind exclusion. Very good sitting room. Small garden without a 'lawn', just a small piece of grass. Kitchen wellequipped table very rickety. Starter wood should last weekend if possible. Bed duvets very old and thin bottom sheet in our room too small for duvet. Enjoyed the snug and dining room. Great walking but we knew that the main road dominates the holiday.....sleeping,relaxing with noise and worrying about dogs. Westies could get under main gate so put stoneware up and bought chicken wire. We would not return. But thank you for the use of your house.
Fabulous property in a gorgeous part of the world! Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back
What a beautiful property. Plenty of room, and just loved the layout of the house. I couldn't believe how thoughtful the owners are to have decorated the house for Xmas, a lovely Xmas tree etc it really made me smile and feel christmassy. Super location, so handy for Settle. We had a lovely long weekend
Beverley
Fantastic weeks break, once you shut the gate, the dog was safe and secure in the garden. Plenty of nice walks from the doorstep,we walked to malham village, brilliant scenery along the way. Hawthorn barn was very comfortable, there was just me and the wife, and dog,but will be going back with the grand children in the spring,as the house is more than big enough for all seven of usThere was a nice local pub,and seetle is only a two mile walk for more pubs and places to eat
Christine
Haworth Barn was the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Extremely spacious, clean, wellequipped and a real home from home. We would have stayed there for ever if we could! We were a bit sceptical about trying the local pub, which is a 5 minute walk from the cottage, based on an earlier review but the food was excellent and the landlord was friendly in a no nonsense way . Unfortunately they don't allow dogs in the pub as one of the staff had previously been bitten by a dog but they are allowed outside. There are so many wonderful dog walks from the cottage and the church is well worth a visit. It is really beautiful. I could go on and on about the wonderful places to visit. We so loved our stay and would highly recommend Haworth Barn and North Yorkshire.
Robert
The property was in a really nice location quiet little village . Ample parking kitchen was well equipped and generally the accomodation was comfortable.Unfortunately the local pub did not allow dogs inside which was a great shame as we would have liked to frequent the pub most evenings and also dine there. The landlord was an incredibly grumpy man who shouted at sum guests fearing they were muddying his floor even tho they wernt .Try the golden lion in settle absolutely wonderful landlord .Would suggest some new duvets allround as on stripping the beds before we left we were quite shocked at the condition of said duvets ..Alltogether a really nice place in a nice spot ...
Lovely quirky place, great for playing hide and seek. Plenty of parking. Clean enough but not pristine. Well equipped with plenty of everything needed and more except teaspoons! Beds very firm but you can't suit everyone. In need of some routine maintenance and touching up but we are being picky. Overall a lovely place for a holiday. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew
Beautiful and unusual property affording plenty of space for four adults and four mid teenagers. The facilities were ample and designed for visitors convenience and comfort. The sunsets from the upstairs lounge area were magnificent! Thank you Haworth Barn.

Excellent property. Pictures don't do it justice. Views are amazing. Fantastic local walks and good access to some incredible locations. The property was very roomy, a bit quirky and a great home for the week.
Lovely property and very well equipped. The only slight issue was that the bathroom with the jacuzzi was a bit cold. The radiator didn't seem to get as hot as in the other rooms.
This is our 5th winter visit here. It feels like our 'the holiday' cottage, to get snuggled up by the log fire and to have a nice long soak in the jacuzzi bath is an amazing way to spend cold wintery nights. The walks and the views all around the house are superb. Could not recommend this cottage enough!
Caroline
Amazing building and decor . ..so grand ! We all loved the gallery looking over the dining room! Jacuzzi bath with room for two was a big hit too!
Elaine
Had the best time. It was well equipped with everything that we needed. Lovely and warm. Great views. Would definitely book again.
