We had a lovely stay at this spacious property. Its in a great location, walking distance of the facilities of Grassington and right next to the river Wharfe. The house itself had plenty of room for the 5 of us, we didnt use the loft room which has lower headroom and was very warm on the day we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed. Two showers and 3 toilets is just about enough for 5 people getting ready in the morning. Only problem with the property is either reversing in or reversing out of the drive onto a surprisingly busy bendy road. We walked and ran along the river in both directions, walked along the Dales Way from Grassington to Conistone. Short drives to Malham Cove, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, and the Kettlewell scarecrow festival. Plenty of pubs and cafes within a short distance, we enjoyed dinner at the Devonshire Arms, and brunch at The Corner House cafe in Grassington one of the few cafes open every day of the week it seems. If you walk along the river and up through Grass Wood, check for ticks afterwards we found several.

What a glorious house, we had the perfect week. House really comfortable, comfy bed, gorgeous shower upstairs we only used the upstairs one, well equipped kitchen. Garden is just beautiful with the most gorgeous view. Loads of walks from the door along the river to other villages, we only used the car once. Grassington is a lovely little town, pubs and cafes are great. Owner's recommendations were useful. We will hopefully return to this house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bridge End. It is in a great location to access Linton falls, just a nice stroll across the field then further on to the stepping stones which amused our teenage grandchildren. The house had everything we needed and we were blessed with the weather so enjoyed the garden, the only thing to note was the bbq has seen better days and is unusable due to broken leg. Grassington itself was very busy and we struggled to book for evening meal with a dog so forward planning would be advisable. We would recommend Bridge End and would definitely return at some point.

This is the second time in staying at Bridge End. The views from the house are fantastic. And the garden is lovely. The kitchen is well equipped. And its a short walk up to the village. Or a lovely walk along the river to Linton Falls. Then a steady walk up into Grassington. We will be back

An absolutely fantastic position. The views were wonderful. Plenty of room to spread out and very well equipped. It was the hottest day of the year whilst we were there but the house was cool. Everyone enjoyed their stay and the young grandchildren want to come again.

I sadly wasnt able to make the holiday to Bridge End as I was ill. My parents and brother and sister said the house was lovely and comfortable, the village had some lovely eating places and pubs, in driving distance to other small villages. My mother says the views from the house of the river are spectacular.

We had a wonderful stay at 1 Bridge End in Grassington. The views over the river were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special. The location was perfect just a short, easy walk into the village, where we found all the amenities we needed. The cottage itself was ideal for our group of eight, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. It was wellequipped with everything we could need, and the dcor was warm, cosy, and perfectly in keeping with the character of the house. The beds were very comfortable, which made for a great nights sleep after exploring the Dales. One of the real highlights was the garden. We spent many sunny days and warm evenings outside, enjoying the peaceful setting and stunning river views from the garden furniture. It was such a joy and really added to the charm of our stay. We absolutely loved our time at 1 Bridge End and are already hoping to book another stay very soon. Highly recommended! Really lovely accommodation, furnished and decorated to a high standard, with beautiful garden. Accommodation stands in picturesque location, with views across to the river. Easy access to riverside walks with interesting features such as waterfall, bridges, weir, rolling countryside. House is within walking distance uphill to town centre, with all amenities array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pub. Setting of popular TV series, so busy at peak times From location we travelled with ease to the beautiful city and gardens of Harrogate, and incredible Brimham rocks near Harrogate, the Bront Heritage museum and pretty town of Haworth, the Stump Cross Caverns very near Grassington, and to the amazing Malham limestone paving. All in all, could easily have stayed another week.

Property as advertised. 2 large sitting rooms one with log fire. Stunning views down to River Wharf and over fields. Very well equipped kitchen. Space for 2 cars to side of house although on a bend and care needed to reverse on drive. Found more car parking over bridge and first right for third car. FAntastic location. 34 Min stroll up to village 3 pubs, a bar, coffee shops, bakers and small local food shop. Pubs good food and excellent range of real ales. Black horse hotel does good meal offers before 6pm. 2 courses a pint for 20 Fountain Inn in Linton also very nice Superb walks from doorstep along river either way. 10 mins to Linton falls... Ingleton Falls a 50 min drive but fantastic walk taking in waterfalls 10 entry for adults 4.5 mile walk but a lot of steps up and down involved Would definitely visit again.

No.1 Bridge End is located in a lovely place and gives you a fantastic view over the River Wharfe. Only a short walk to Grassington village centre. Plenty of places to walk nearby as well as the village. Would highly recommend the property, its location and the area as a great introduction to the Yorkshire Dales, plenty of good beer around too!

Beautifully welcoming cottage, very well equipped,and comfortable. We were a party of 7 and a dog, I am 89 and my husband is 90, and the rest of the family ranged from 30 to 62, and we all enjoyed the walks and restaurants in the village, in a place which is ideally situated for exploring beautiful Wharfedale.

Had a great week, despite the weather. Lovely house in a fantastic location with wonderful views over the River Wharfe. Could have spent hours looking at the view, and watching the abundance of wildlife make its way up and down the valley, if it wasn't for the kids. Found some great walks from the house and loved just pottering around Grassington with all of its local shops and cafes.

Loved this cottage particularly, being a painter myself, for its proliferation of artworks throughout which I so enjoyed. We appreciated the beautifully maintained garden and summerhouse. Stunning views of the river Wharfe with a gorgeous walk to Burnsall right below the cottage garden. Very well equipped. Diligent and attentive owner. Very spacious. Delightful. Only drawback for us, with two dogs who we were delighted to be allowed to bring as not ever cottage owner wants two dogs in their house was that the garden has a right of way across it so dogs had to be kept on the lead. However, we coped as did the dogs? Highly recommended.

Would certainly stay again. Great house and location. Provision of towels and sunshade in garden would be welcome improvement. Beautiful garden but has no shade. In height of summer, a sunshade would be appreciated

Bridge End is a beautiful property in a superb location. It was ideal for a family week away with plenty of space for 6 adults and two children to relax and brilliant facilities. The family really enjoy the garden and the walks that were easily accessed from the bottom of the garden. Unfortunately I was unable to join them as I have MS and need to use a disability scooter. I enjoyed the fact that I could access the amenities in the village with the presence of dropped kerbs and step free shops not something you find in every village. Personally speaking, the only improvement that I could think to suggest would be seating that is not so low very difficult for me to get up from and a possible bed settee on the ground floor for when I can no longer manage the stairs. All in all a very comfortable family holiday with plenty to see and do in the the area.

Property has lovely views from the sitting room, bedroom and garden, and is nicely furnished especially for somewhere that accepts dogs. Comfortable bed, and good water pressure for the showers. This property does not provide bath towels, so don't forget to pack your own. There was plenty of crockery and the kitchen seemed well equipped. We enjoyed the log fire, the starter logs provided were enough for 3 evenings. It is a short walk up into the village centre, or to get onto the Dales Way footpath. Grassington itself is lovely, lots of good places to eat and some interesting shops. Some of the plates in the cupboard had crumbs on them, and some of the ramekins had also been put away without being properly cleaned, so we did put a lot of crockery through the dishwasher before using it. I think this would have been done by the people staying immediately before us, and as the dishes were in the cupboard the cleaner could not have noticed. Possibly if the house instructions were to run the dishwasher and or hand wash any dishes, but to leave them in the dishwasher drainer at the end of the stay this would be less likely to happen? We would very happily stay at this house again next time we are in Grassington.

I dont think this property deserves its four tick rating. Its okay but basic. We had stayed in another Sykes 4 tick property immediately before this and they were very different.

The house and location are both amazing, the views are stunning and the closeness to Grassington is perfect for amenities, being able to walk to the local shops and pubs was a real plus. The house itself was well equipped and very much a home from home, we settled in straight away. The only comment I would make is the beds in the single rooms were not very comfortable. Other than that there were no complaints at all.

We had an amazing time staying in Bridge End for the New Year. We met the lady in housekeeping upon arrival who had done a fabulous job in making the house spotless for our arrival. We felt right at home with everything you can imagine being provided for our week long stay. The position of the property located at the edge of the village was perfect with just a short walk into the pubs and shops. The garden in the summer would be ideal for the summer evenings with a glass of wine listening to the river running by. Definitely will book again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was like a home. It was decorated for Christmas. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the view of the river from the front room it was fantastic. The garden was lovely and in warmer months you can sit out admiring the view. The bedrooms were comfortable and we slept really well throughout our stay. The village was a five minute walk away with pubs, restaurants and shops. There was a walk directly outside of the property along the river to Linton. Great weekend and perfect for spending time together as a family.

The property was beautifully situated with long views of the river which we particularly enjoyed. The house and rooms were colorful, spacious, clean and welcoming and we thought the kitchen was very well equipped. The village was full of interest and a 5 minute walk away, though a bit too steep a walk for those with walking aids. There were some lovely country walks straight from the door and if going further afield you are spoilt for choice of places to visit without needing to go more than 10 miles or so. And a good open fire for when you return. There are some small bits that could do with a refresh such as the microwave, placemats and a squeaky blue window chair But we would be very happy to return and see the house, and the view, in all the different seasons.
