This was our second visit to Newby Bridge House with 3 generations of family. I was slightly worried before our visit that the property wouldn't have been maintained to the high standard of last year all worries we're immediately removed on arrival. The property was spotless with new bathroom and furnishings since last year. Everything we needed was provided. We had a fantastic week thank you!

The house was amazing lovely an clean and great facilities. Games room is a plus with teenagers. The access straight onto the water is fantastic. Second stay for us and we will be back again. Close to all amenities. Only down for us this year was when we arrived the garden was full of poo spend the first 30 mins picking it all up so our dog didn't run through it.
We stayed at Newby Bridge House in August as a multi generational family. The house was perfect for us! It was done to a very high standard, one of the best we've ever stayed in. The decor, fixtures and fittings we exceptional for a holiday cottage! All the bedrooms were a good size and the bathrooms were done beautifully. The location of the house was great, we could walk to the ferry at Lakeside, there are two hotels within a few hundred feet of the cottage. Kendal is only a short drive away. The garden was the real WOW, having the river right at the bottom of the garden to be able to launch our paddleboard and kayak was fabulous! A 30 min paddle upstream takes you onto Lake Windermere. We had out dog with us and the Garden was very secure for her plus there are many walks from the doorstep. I also had to contact the owner regarding a slight hiccup and she was wonderful, really helpful and responsive. We will definately return to Newby Bridge House and we couldn't reccommend it highly enough.

This is an excellent property. Four of us stayed for 4 nights and it was immaculate with quality decor and fittings. The two showers were modern, spotless and easy to work out. Kitchen well stocked. Knives and forks are in a hidden drawer inside a drawer. There is a boat launch ramp if you think you can kayak or canoe against the flow to Windermere lake. There is stacks of parking and mainly out of sight of passing eyes. Lounge is good. Games room has a low ceiling light so watch your head . Welcome package was lovely. Garden immaculate. It is near an A road but the double glazing is new and very good at shutting out the road. Brilliant base for our trips each day. Easy to get to, no windy lanes. We would definitely use it again. Pubs restaurants are a few hundred yards. Sit by the river and watch the wagtails feeding on gnats etc. Beds very comfortable in each room. For the money, it was great value as a base.

We had a lovely stay at Newby Bridge house again, for about the 10th time holidaying there, house is clean and comfortable, very well equipped, amazing garden with river access, perfect for kayaking, the only niggle I have is that the 1 parasol provided is not enough to shade the seating area, it did became to hot to sit out and enjoy the views.

This is a wonderful house, beautifully presented by the owners and a joy to stay in. Its position by the river is an added bonus, and when the weather is good it is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, or enjoy the odd gin and tonic. A very wellequipped kitchen and a generous welcome package. The house is opposite Haverthwaite Railway, which stops at Newby Bridge, so from here you can get to Lakeside and the ferry to Ambleside or Windermere. A couple of things which Im sure the owners would be pleased to deal with. The shower base in the shower room is very slippery and quite dangerous. The main bedrooms have no mirrors, so there is nowhere to use a hair dryer.
