Park Beck 3 Reviews

This was the perfect space for a group with plenty of space for relaxing, conversation and playing board games. Thwe location was ideal for exploring the area and taking fell walks. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but the twin rooms at least could benefit from additional furniture. Some drawers or cupbooards to store clothes would be useful along with somewhere to hang towels to dry. We felt that the kitchen could use more utensils etc as there was only a slice and no spatula or sevring spoon. 11 mugs is odd for eight people, meaning we had to wash up or run the dishwasher once we'd used them and further five would be very suseful. A tray or trays for carrying cuppas to the lounge would be a useful asset and avoid risk of spillages. We were asked to leave the house clean but there were no cleaning products other than washing up liquid and only one Jiffy cloth. All said though we agreed we would gladly book again.

This property is perfectly located. Walking distance to the station was important as some of our group came by train whilst we were out. Walking distance to shops and cafes in Windermere and Bowness. Brown Sugar was outstanding and the only place open on Boxing Day. There lots of country walks available from the front door. The house itself was warm and comfortable. As I cook I needed more serving dishes and utensils and general cutlery and cups were low I asked the owner for these and they were brought the same day. That responsiveness gets full marks from me. The parking in front might be a bit tight if there were 4 big cars in front of the two houses. I didnt want to come home! So much more to do and see in the area
The accommodation could be 4 star very easily with a little more care. There were a lot of cobwebs around light fittings. The fittings were of a high standard and the kitchen was nice. Kitchen could do with more general dishes as we had to serve our salad in a pan. Mattresses were awful. A better hamper and enough cups for 8 people.
We had a lovely friends catch up for the weekend at 3 Park Beck. The cottage has everything you need and the location is great, with just a short walk to the shops in Windermere and about a 20 minute walk to Bowness. The living room is a lovely cosy room, a lamp would make it even better, as the main light is very bright. Would definitely recommend this place and we wouldnt hesitate about staying here again.
Wonderful property. Great sitting room with huge tv and plenty of room on the sofa. Dining room well appointed. Kitchen fab, all the utensils and crockery you need plus lovely bottle of fizz waiting. And some teacoffee and milk. Also nice to have washing up liquid, teatowels and hand wash. Lovely to have 4 ensuite bedrooms. Twins probs meant for children as beds quite low. Only downside is no separate toilet so always had to go through a bedroom. Which for the 2 of us that were on thextop floor meant a lot of stairs. Great to have a parking space, although we did return one day to have someone from over the road parked up. But they quickly moved when we got back. Defo use again if staying in Windermere.
A delightful and excellently positioned property just a stones throw from all the amenities. A fully stocked, well appointed kitchen to the rear and a warm and inviting sitting room on the ground floor to the front. The two bedrooms on the first floor were of a good size and the ensuites of a high standard. I didnt personally venture up to the second floor but one of our party mentioned a low beam. I would definitely have no qualms booking this property again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Park Beck. We had booked both adjoining houses for a family weekend break there were 16 of us from 3 generations, from 4 to 68. The accommodation suited us very well. The bedrooms, all en suite, were perfect. The lounges were comfortable, and the kitchen areas were well equipped. The houses are well situated in the centre of Windermere. We were lucky with the weather and had a fantastic weekend
Great place to stay for our extended family 5 adults and 3 children and location was fab. Will hopefully be back in the future.
The property was immaculately presented, clean, tidy, with ensuites in every bedroom. A great place to stay within easy of Windermere, the lake and local hills.
