Just wow! A stunning house that is every bit as lovely as the photos on the website promised. The facilities were perfect for our family stay the hot tub was a firm favourite with the kids and the cosy rooms and comfy beds ensured a good nights sleep after busy days exploring the area. A great and peaceful location between Windermere and Coniston, which we made the most of, with days on the lakes. Morning coffee was drunk admiring the lovely views over Windermere! Big thanks to Mark, the host, who was so helpful answering our questions and sharing info on the area to ensure we had a fab holiday.
Great home, we all loved it. Lovely rooms, a superb open plan kitchen and cosy living room. Terrific location, very quiet, walks and cycle tracks from the door but within easy reach to the whole of the lakes. We've stayed in several properties in the lakes and this is a very special home, hope to back to Hawkrigg farm. Thanks for your attention to detail Mark!
Brilliant property, we all loved it. Beautiful rooms, a lovely open plan kitchen and cosy living room. We enjoyed the hot tub as well with views over beautiful Windermere. Would definitely stay at Hawkrigg farm again

An Excellent property to thank whole family on my Retirement so wanted something 'special' which this lived up to fully, with very little found wanting. All facilities used to the full including hot tub modern kitchen as we ate in most days but also did eat at Cuckoo Brow Inn a short walk away on a couple of nights, which we would also recommend. Host did provide a 'Meet and greet' on our Arrival, which was most welcome and overall would highly recommend especially for a special occasion Great views towards Windermere to front and Coniston Falls to rear giving instant 'weather update' We did benefit from great weather most of the week we were there, but accommodation would suit any weather. Property very pieceful whcih was ideal Windermere area OK but the quiet was just what we were after and little traffic even though close to Ferry road Close to Hill Top and other attractions with many 'Walk' options also nearby
We had a fantastic weekend at Hawkrigg Farm. A beautiful house with everything we needed and located in a lovely spot.
Property was more than we hoped for and our party of ten, aged 8 months to 68 years, a had a great week. The house was really lovely and comfortable, a d a great base for exploring a part of the Lakes we didn't know well..As we planned to cook a lot we appreciated the wellappointed kitchen and contents. Mark greeted us on arrival and couldn't have been more helpful. as soon as we can gather the whole clan together again we will go back, though it may be a few years away!
