9 Navigation Square Reviews

We had a lovely time at Navigation Square. Booking was easy and contact from the owner was straightforward. It was quiet yet central for everything. We thought the area was very friendly. Lots of shops, pubs, cafes and nice walks. It was clean, beds comfy. We especially liked the coat and boots area by the front door. If we had one small niggle the downstairs bedroom was a little cold but we just slept in socks so easily sorted. We would not hesitate to come back again. Thank you Jo
Joanne
Perfect location in town with 2 car parking spaces. Clean, dog friendly, well presented town house with lots of space and lovely towels! Loads of places to eat all just minutes walk from the front door. Looking forward to staying again.
Amanda
Great place to stay and local to everything would highly recommend
Robert
Really lovely property in a fantastic location. Our party of 6 really enjoyed our visit. We were all comfortable and it was an added benefit having two parking places . Also a nice touch leaving the chocolates for us. Would definitely use again , Many Thanks Bob & the boys .
Sandra
STAYED AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER. WE ARE RETURNING CUSTOMERS FOR THE 3RD TIME AND WILL BOOK AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. BRILLIANT BASE FOR THE DALES WITH ALL THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING ABLE TO WALK INTO TOWN IN JUST A COUPLE OF MINUTES. 1 SMALL MINOR....ONLY 1 BATH TOWEL PER PERSON WHICH AT THIS TIME OF YEAR IS NOT ENOUGH AS UNABLE TO DRY PROPERLY IN BETWEEN USES, LUCKILY WE HAD EACH TAKEN ONE OF OUR OWN IN WITH OUR LUGGAGE.
A great property, ideally situated in the centre of Skipton, close to the boat hire and several pubs and restaurants. The offroad parking for 2 cars was a real bonus!
Property was perfect for our stay. Loved being so close to Town centre. Owner was very approachable and accommodating to our needs.
Kaitlynn
We loved our stay at Navigation Square. Everything was clean and as advertised. I really appreciated the communication with the owner and their flexibility. The location was centrally located and made navigating Skipton quite easy. It was great for two families to share, as it had separate bedrooms on different floors. I highly recommend this property!
Fantastic location for our needs. Space was somewhat cluttered and some supplies toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent were insufficient. Host was kind and friendly.
Darren
Wonderful home and helpful host. Perfect location. Would definitely stay here again!
Bharadwaj
Amazing property very much in the centre and close to amenities. It has everything a family needs and more. Cannot recommend enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Extremely good communication with the property owner.
Jacqueline
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was spotless, very comfortable and in a great location. The home was well equipped with everything you need for a holiday. Stayed with 5 of my grandchildren and they loved it. We visited Thornton Hall Farm, and Billy Bob's American diner, a short ride away. Took a walk round skipton town and canal, just a short walk away from the house. I would recommend this property without hesitation. Just wish we were there a little bit longer. Thank you Jo.
Kelvin
Lovely house in a fantastic location, very comfortable beds and sofa. The house had everything you could need in a very quiet area but right next to everything. Lovely walks along the canal. We will definitely stay here again.
Barbara
We had an amazing stay and our host was very helpful before and during our visit. The house is home from home and very well equipped and convenient for everything one could need in Skipton an its environs.
Had a great week. The cottage is comfortable and Skipton town centre is only a few minutes walk away. We visited the castle, the new Craven museum, and did the castle walk. And for a treat Bizzie Lizzies fish and chip shop is excellent.
We loved our stay at Navigation Square. Jo was communicative before the stay about getting access to be property and when we arrived we found everything exactly as detailed. There were 6 of us staying which was just perfect, I feel like 8 would have been too tight a squeeze. The location is perfect and we travelled into town every day, even if just for a drink. The Steaks and Ale pies at The Narrowboat are a must, and the beer both there and The Engine Room is fab both a stones throw from the house. There's a ParkRun 10 mins walk away for those who fancy keeping fit on a Saturday morning. Further afield Malham Cove, Ingleton Falls and Bolton Abbey all provide great walks of varying lengths. The only thing I think it's fair to warn people about is that the tapstoilet are very loud, so if you have people going to be at different times it can be difficult. However we didn't find this spoilt the stay and there's clearly not much the owners can do to fix easily.

Lovely house, superb location. Will definitely return
Edward
We had a lovely time here. The accommodation was perfect very comfortable spotlessly clean everything we needed. It is situated minutes from shops restaurants pubs etc. Would highly recommend.
Navigation Square is an excellent holiday let large spacious and perfect location. The facilities were excellent. The only negative was the bedding and towels that didnt seem clean. Not sure if it was the the pillows and duvets that were not very clean or the bedding and towels hadnt been cleaned but all our party felt the bedding smelt stale. Also there were no dishcloths for cleaning surfaces. I would certainly return if that was rectified.
Barbara
Good points about the property are its location, it could not be better situated in Skipton and the parking is good. The beds are very comfortable. We found the owner very amiable and helpful. However, the property is not suitable for someone with mobility problems as there are a lot of stairs and once you are in the living area, access to toilet and bathroom is either upstairs or downstairs. The living area would benefit from more, softer lighting, perhaps one or two table lamps, as some of the decor is very dark coloured and the ceiling lights throughout are extremely bright. We didnt find the seating in the lounge area at all comfortable. It might be an idea to ask visitors to turn off the freezer the night before they leave, so it can be defrosted for the next occupants, the freezer was iced up when we got there. I would not say that the property was spotlessly clean, but I suppose that can be measured by peoples own standards.
Great house in a great location. The only thing is that the bunk beds are best suited to children and young adults, not really great for 'ladies of a certain age' even though we think we are still agile!! The room is very small too. The shower room for the 2 ground floor bedrooms is very modern but 'compact', a bit of a struggle 4 of us trying to share it. Had a great time on a 2 night stay, would return so long as we didn't have to use the bunks!
Perfect location very clean we had a wonderful holiday
Angelia
The house was perfect for our needs, 5 women on a walking holiday, close to all the amenities including road and rail transport links. If I was in the Skipton area again I would definitely try to stay here.
The accommodation was very spacious and all 8 of us were very comfortable. We loved the house, very clean, bright and airy and the dogs loved sitting on the patio soaking up the sun. We were thrilled to receive a wonderful Easter cake and bottle of wine which was much appreciated. All shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets all near by. Had a lovely day on the canal boat and also the steam train at Embsay. I thoroughly enjoyed my 70th birthday and my daughter's 20th wedding anniversary which were both on Easter Saturday! We would definitely recommend and hope to return again one day. Thank you Jo.
Gillian
The property was very clean, very comfortable but also cosy. Lots of little extras that were greatly appreciated including toiletries in the bathrooms basic needs in the kitchen and a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge. We would definitely recommend to family and friends visiting the area as the location within Skipton itself is ideal for pubs shops restaurants etc and also great for visiting the surrounding area. Thanks for all your thought and care that has gone into your property.
What a lovely property. Everything youd need is provided for. Great communication with the owner. Such a great position being right in town with lots of shops, eateries and walks, Weve had a wonderful weekend. Thank you
Very wellequipped property close to shops, pubs, restaurants and canal. Jo ensured we had everything we needed. Private parking for 2 cars, we found free parking for a 3rd car just 30 yards from the property. 6 of us had a very enjoyable winter break.
Robert
This property is superb. It is extremely well equipped, comfortable and ideally situated. B&M is visible from the bedroom window and Morrisons is another 2 minutes walk. Fish and Chips are 3 minutes walk and a lovely Thai restaurant 3 minutes the other way. Plenty of pubs within 10 minutes and the Canal 5 minutes. Can't think of anywhere better.
Claire
Superb house in a fantastic location. The owner went above and beyond to accommodate our additional request. Can't wait to return.
Charlotte
Loads of really helpful communication from the owners. They were so lovely with their help and advice. They helped make our family weekend away extra special. Thanks again
Lesley
Jo was extremely accommodating and the property could not have been more central and well equipped
Ideal location,3min walk into Skipton town centre. Plenty of good bars and restaurants on the doorstep.2min to canal foot path.lovelly comfortable well equipped property, parking spaces an asset.lovelly south facing balcony although we felt it could do with a little TLC new solar lights needed and general maintenance but this did not spoil our enjoyment of the balcony.there is the main road going into Skipton opposite the balcony, but didnt upset our enjoyment.had to contact owner twice and on both occasions she responded quickly in a friendly manner and problems were resolved.lovelly lady, thank you would recommend this property.
Great place to stay couldnt be any closer to the town and train station. On arrival a welcome bottle of wine thank you. Beds big and comfy showers hot and powerful. Kitchen small and compact but still managed to do a Sunday roast ..Neighbours really friendly but actually can say that about everyone in Skipton . Eating out lots of choice and good value for money . Weve been to The Dales Country Cottage,, The Royal Shepherd Inn and Terrace Tea Rooms this time but previously Elsworth Kitchen and La Casita. On departure day I suggest Keelham Kitchen a little more expensive but portions are huge so you could share amazing hash browns and you can purchase Lotti Shaws Parkin biscuits.Activities done cycling trips oh those hills on the train to Leeds to see relatives and try out the climbing wall. Also visited Skipton health and fitness for yoga and ballet classes.Would definitely recommend staying here though modern , note the house has 3 sets of stairs so may not suit all.
Excellent cottage in superb position.
Very impressed with the property perfect location for travelling all over Yorkshire lovely market town.
A really enjoyable stay. The property was spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped and the property owners had clearly put a lot of thought into everything needed to make our stay a good one. Location of the property was ideal for all local amenities. Thank you, would highly recommend.
It was a lovely property and very convenient for the town centre which was great. The only downside was the late check in and early checkout when we were just there for the weekend. It was a big rush to get out on Sunday morning as the purpose of our stay was a family wedding and late night. Would have been fine if we had been staying for longer. Nice touches with chocolates and wine.
Our expectations were exceeded with this holiday house. Its modern, spacious and was good value for money. The owner had thought of everything to make the stay more enjoyable. We appreciated the childrens toys, books and even games consoles that were available to use. Having plenty of bathrooms is also a bonus.
Louise
Lovely house, so close to everything in Skipton definitely recommend
