Old Hall Reviews

Sara
This house is beautifully furnished and decorated. It feels like a real home. The kitchen is equipped with all that we needed. The snug made a perfect playroom for the young children, while older adults could relax in the larger sitting room. The garden was a safe enclosure, very pretty and well maintained. There is a brilliant and comprehensive file of instructions to answer all our questions. Both Holiday Cottages and the owners responded very promptly to any queries that we raised.
Vivienne
Excellent cottage - would definitely recommend.
Sean
This cottage had it all, well equipped, comfort plus.
Margaret
The cottage was lovely and the beds were so cosy.
Muriel
Fantastic cottage in a lovely location. We did some walks from the house as well as Malham and the Peaks. There was plenty space for a three generational family, in fact the photos donâ??t do it justice. Brilliant garden for our dog too. Loads of kitchen equipment and really nice touch to have starter log packs as well as washing up liquid / cloths etc. Definitely recommend if wish a quiet location and cosy but spacious house.
Lisa
This cottage is exceptional. Warm, spacious, extremely comfortable. It is filled with beautiful fixtures and fittings and is probably the best weâ??ve ever stayed at in terms of comfort and quality. We had snow which made everything more special. I took all my equipment to make a birthday cake for one of our party members but I neednâ??t have bothered as the kitchen had everything you could possibly need including 2 huge fridge/freezers. The Queens Arms pub, a few miles away, had us all raving about the food. In fact we still are. All in all our long weekend was perfect and Iâ??m already looking to return to this very special cottage as soon as possible. Extra thanks to the owner for being accommodating to our requests.
Debbie
Wow...what a stunning home..so well equipped, stylish decor and such a welcoming feel. It's spaciousness was perfect for our holiday which brought together our children and partners for a special weekend celebrating a 60th! The location is perfect with scenic footpaths on the doorstep enabling some great walks. Would highly recommend.
Lesley
The cottage is decorated to a very high standard. It is very homely, equipped very well & has classy, well thought out interiors in all rooms. There are stunning views from the garden.
Helen
Beautifully furnished, comfortable property in the heart of the glorious Yorkshire Dales. In a remote position, well located for many historic sites and attractions, often via narrow, steep, country lanes. Scenic setting with a riverside walk and more, nearby. Surrounded by sheep and lambs, also Belted Galloway cows and alpacas in neighbouring fields. Almost every room inside the cottage has steps, some of them steep. Particularly luxurious to have a choice of spacious lounges and of dining areas, both indoors and out!. Gorgeous garden. None of the party had a phone signal but the Wi-Fi was reliable. TV seems to only operate if you have accounts for Channel 4, ITV, Netflix etc.
Martin
Fantastic time had by all. Old Hall great accommodation, plenty of room, well stocked with equipment, really good mix of old and contemporary. Location great for walking (including without having to drive) and sight seeing. Did have trouble getting the wood burner in the main room to light but this was a minor inconvenience probably more linked to our fire lighting skills.
The Murrays and
A Hogmanay celebration in a superb house - everything thought of. Weather could have been better but more energetic members did two local park runs and a bit of walking all in all a wonderful break.
Martin Sandi
Absolutely spectacular! Beautiful property with every possible amenity and cracking location! It was wet 5.5 of the 6 days but in this house in this countryside WHO CARES!
