Brantwood (2 miles, 5 minutes) showcases John Ruskin's former home. Tarn Hows (4 miles, 10 minutes) offers stunning walks. Hawkshead village (4 miles, 12 minutes) has shops and cafes. Grizedale Forest (6 miles, 15 minutes) provides mountain biking trails and Go Ape activities.

Great place for a family gathering. The lake access made the place really special and was enjoyed by all generations.
The house was fantastic, especially the kitchen which was a great size. We also loved the dining room which made our special meals even more special. The location of the house was outstanding.
