Bishop Fell Reviews

Justine
We had a wonderful stay at Bishop Fell and could not recommend it more. The views are beautiful, it is very quiet and peaceful with walks from the front doorstep. We all enjoyed our mornings having coffee at the outdoor table, in the sunshine, looking at the view whilst deciding where the day would take us. The house is perfect, very spacious and very clean!
Beautiful house, loved the attention to detail. Very spacious throughout but 2nd floor bedrooms were amazing in size, decor and facilities. Host Jane very welcoming on arrival and the use of local health club was great, we used the pool one day as weather was very wet. Good location for visiting surrounding area and we hope to return in the future.

A magical Christmas stay! We stayed at Bishop Fell to bring the family together over the Christmas week and proved to be a huge success with lots of memories made. The house was extremely comfortable and furnished to a high quality. The house was always cosy and warm and we appreciated personal checkin from Jane, welcome hamper and Christmas decorations. The kitchen had everything you needed, including two ovens, two fridges and all Le Creuset cookware and crockery. Beds were comfortable and always provided a good night sleep and sofa large enough for everyone to sit together. The house was in a great location for exploring the Lakes, we used the complimentary leisure access at the whitewater hotel to take the little one swimming, the play park next door and walks from the village and slightly further afield West Windermere Way. All the family said they'd return again for a future stay.
Thank you so much to Jane owner who helped us with every single thing we ever needed. Such great hospitality. Such a great property with everything you could possibly need! A home away from home! 5 stars
This is a fabulous house, very luxurious with everything you could need. It looks exactly like the photos if not better! We were a family of three generations and it was an ideal property for us all. The garden is three tiers therefore a little challenging for those with mobility issues but this does not detract from the property at all. Jane was fantastic and happy to be contacted if any issuesthere were none as everything was perfect. There was a lovely basket of goodies and milk for us on arrival. Jane sent a message with with places to eat etc prior to our arrival which was a great help. E we were ideally situated for both Ulverston and Windermere. I would 100 recommend this property.

The house was absolutely lovely clean, tastefully decorated, and wellequipped with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Jane, our host, was welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful throughout our stay. It really made all the difference and added a personal touch that we truly appreciated. The location was stunning, and the cottage was the ideal base for exploring the area. We felt right at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Well definitely be staying again highly recommended!

The cottages was fantastic had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Jane was a welcoming host. The location and views were lovely. Great area with lots to do. Hope to go back again soon!
We had the best week in the Lake District weather wise. 2 adults and 3 kids. Bishop Fell is by far the best Sykes property we have ever stayed in. We usually take various kitchen items with us just in case but never needed to use them, the house just has everything you would need. Beds were super comfy and the showers were all great. The decor and views were all amazing. Jayne Owner was lovely and runs a B&B close by. Great walks on the fells behind, close to Windermere and Kendal and the supermarkets in Ulverston. This property is highly recommended by us.

We had a lovely week in Bishop Fell, it is well equipped, is in a nice location, and has amazing bedrooms and bathrooms and is the best holiday housecottage I have stayed at.
Patricia
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was spotlessly clean and very high end quality. The owner was nearby if needed and easy to contact. The property was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and very comfortable. We were there as a family of 7, aged 21 87. A grab rail near the toilet and inside the shower would have been really helpful for my parents, and we found to hot water to be too hot but apart from that everything was perfect. It was a wonderful stay.
This is a wonderful property, we couldn't fault it, it was spacious, the decor is a really high spec, the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom is so lovely.
Bishop's Fell is a beautiful property with a stunning primary bedroom and bathroom and lovely views from the top floor bedrooms. Jane was very welcoming and friendly host. We found the property to be an excellent base for all our daily activities. It was also very reassuring that shoes were to be kept at the front door. It definitely reflected how clean the property was throughout. We had a very enjoyable stay and the property was fantastic for us as a family.
Beverly
Bishop Fell what a beautiful luxury holiday home, a fabulous find in a fabulous location a true gem. Jane and Angus the owners what a lovely couple, they have thought of everything you could ask for. The full house was immaculately clean and had everything you needed to have a wonderful stay. The interior design in the house was lovely and well thought out. A beautiful garden with lovely seating zones to enjoy the scenery and even a fir pit what more could you ask for. There is so much to see and do in the area. What a lovely relaxing holiday we had and didn't want to leave. So looking forward to booking with you again. Thank you Jane and Angus

The property was in superb condition, location excellent, the facilities were in very good order and very clean. The kitchen was particularly well equipped, quality was excellent, and provision of kitchenware was more than adequate for 8 persons. The host was very friendly and informative. I would highly recommend the property one of the best we have stayed in from Sykes.

It is quite obvious that the owner takes a real pride in this property. We were warmly greeted and made to feel very welcome. We have used Sykes for 15 plus years and have stayed in some very nice properties, but this one beats them all.Everything is of a very high standard and kept clean and well maintained. We all had a great stay here, many thanks.
Gillian
Absolutely fabulous holiday in a beautiful house! Bishop Fell is a home from home with top rate decor and appliances. Jane was very friendly and genuinely interested in how your holiday went, Jane also accommodated us with an extra early check in. The welcome pack and flowers were a lovely thought. Please take bad reviews with a pinch of salt, we had no issues whatsoever apart from an over sensitive heat alarm in the kitchen which went off a couple of times when using the oven and grill.
Beautiful house in a stunning location, very well equipped and decorated to a very high standard would definitely recommend. Host was very welcoming and as they live close by if you had any problems they were on hand to help you.
Jennifer
Upon arrival we were welcomed at the property by the homeowner, Jane. Myself and party were talked through the basics of how to operate the kitchen appliances, heating etc. A general pleasant chat. There were seven of us. Firstly, May I say the property is gorgeous, fitted out to a high standard, beautiful furnishings and fabulous layout with the open plan kitchen lounge. There is a separate lounge, we called it the snug, on the first floor, with tv. Great chill out zone. Although not exactly in the centre of local amenities, it was perfect for our group. A short drive to the usual places, Grasmere and Bowness on Windermere. There is plenty of information, leaflets, etc on the hallway table for anyone not familiar with the Lake District. In truth I cannot fault the accommodation, we had a fabulous weekend made better by the luxurious surroundings. The garden whilst on a tiered design, again is great with plenty of seating on all tiers. With the perfect weather we endured it was lovely relaxing , enjoying a glass or two of wine. Jane, the homeowner, lives close by which personally I found a bonus and definitely not intrusive. The personal touches and gifts Jane brought us, again are examples of going that little bit further. I wont spoil the surprise All in all I would give this property five stars Absolutely no negative feedback whatsoever.. Thank you Jane, we had a wonderful time in your beautiful home.
