To reach Laykin Cottage by car, take the A6108 towards Reeth, then follow signs to Low Row in Swaledale. The cottage sits high above the village on a steep track with hairpin bends. Normal cars can access the property but take care if you have low suspension. Off-road parking is available at the cottage.
The nearest railway station is Darlington, approximately 30 miles away. From there, you'll need to arrange a taxi or car hire for the scenic journey through the Yorkshire Dales to Low Row.
